The ICE Physio Diversity Leadership Program

The Institute of Clinical Excellence works to provide the highest level of continuing education to our participants, creating a network of clinicians with optimal training and skills. We are, however, aware that there is a gap in this community and in the larger physical therapy community. ICE Physio is committed to confronting the lack of diversity within our profession and taking steps to increase the representation of people of color within rehabilitation.

The ICE Physio Diversity Leadership Program was created in order to promote greater diversity within leadership roles in the profession of physical therapy. It hopes to create more visibility for people of color and allow for improved representation within leadership roles. As an organization, we recognize that in order to promote our field equally to all people, there must be diversity in representation.

The ICE Physio Diversity Leadership Program is focused on offering access to all ICE Physio coursework, live or online, for a 2-year period. In addition to coursework, members selected for the ICE Physio Diversity Leadership Program will also participate in quarterly meetings with ICE Physio staff to discuss leadership principles & answer questions from the group, including alumni from previous years of the program.

This application has a rolling deadline with applications reviewed approximately annually. When the Diversity Leadership Program director determines there are enough applications to review, they will evaluate & inform those who were selected for entry into the program. Historically this is done near the end of each calendar year or the beginning of the next.
