Intended Stimulus

This monostructural couplet is intentionally redundant on the lower extremity as well as the cardiovascular system. The goal of each interval is to complete the double-unders unbroken & run a fast 400 m to earn as much rest as possible. Remember that tripping a bunch on the jump rope followed by a slow 400 m jog is the quickest way to turn this workout into a 15-minute AMRAP. Time cap yourself at 2:30 each round in order to have some rest before the next round begins. Faster split times this week will be around 2 minutes per round.

Adaptations / Modifications / Standards

Sub the jump rope for 10/7 cal Ski or Row if needed

Sub the run for a 500 m/400 m row or 1000 m/800 m on a fan bike

No equipment? No problem. Perform 5 rounds of a 2-minute AMRAP of burpees followed by 1-minute of rest.

Maintain the stimulus by performing 2:00-2:30 minutes of a hard cardiovascular effort followed by 0:30-1:00 of rest on a machine of your choice
