Tessa moved to Colorado Springs with her husband in July 2020 from Wisconsin. GO PACK GO! She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelors in Kinesiology in 2015 and then attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where she received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in May of 2020. She played competitive volleyball and soccer in high school and club soccer at UW-Madison while in undergrad. Her interest in physical therapy began after volunteering with an Adapted Fitness program helping individuals with disabilities improve their fitness and with her own experience rehabbing countless ankle sprains and an ACL tear. She has a background in outpatient orthopedics and also has previous experience personal training, both in coaching group fitness classes and personal sessions. She has a strong interest in prevention based physical therapy and implements a holistic, well-rounded approach. She is passionate about evidence based physical therapy and creating individualized plans of care for each patient. She is dedicated to helping others improve their quality of life through movement and lifestyle change while promoting wellness strategies. When she is not working, Tessa enjoys any and all outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, running, camping, skiing along with participating in Crossfit. She also loves spending time with her family, friends, and fur babies.
