ACADEMICS & CREDENTIALS
Sam Dawes earned her DPT May 2022 from the University of Wisconsin- Madison. She is also a graduate from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 2019 with a bachelors in Kinesiology: Exercise and Movement Science with a certificate in Education and Educational Services. In 2019, Sam also became a certified personal trainer.
TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY
Sam utilizes the patient’s goals and desired activities to tailor each treatment accordingly. She has a passion for physical activity and functional strengthening to promote mobility and overall well being. She believes that getting to know a patient beyond his/ her limitations helps her create a better understanding of the patient as a whole. The combination of objective measures, manual techniques and exercise are key towards helping her patients return to their desired activities. Sam also coaches softball and strength & conditioning at the high school level. Her professional interests also include return to sport, injury prevention and functional strength.
EXPERTISE
Sam has been helping in the coaching realm for softball since she was in high school. She is currently the JV assistant coach of Middleton high school’s softball team. She also has volunteered with ProPTs baseball and softball throwing program while completing her degree. Sam also spends time at Middleton High school as the female strength and conditioning coach. Her passion for sports, injury prevention and performance drives her in helping her patients improve their training regimens and return to their desired activities.
PERSONALLY
I enjoy long distance running and participating in Crossfit.
