Ryan, PT, DPT, grew up in Payson, UT. Before starting PT school, he worked as an ACSM certified personal trainer for over 3 years, specializing in core strengthening, balance training, corrective exercise, rehabilitation, sports performance, and functional training, just to name a few. A lot of his time as a personal trainer was spent working with people who had just gotten out of physical therapy. His goal was to help them maintain their home exercise programs and continue to help them progress towards their personal fitness goals and return to their prior level of function without pain or disability.
He graduated from the Idaho State University DPT program in 2019 in which he learned new skills, participated in research projects with faculty and staff members, and received the education necessary to help those around him. Before this, he received a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Utah Valley University. He has a wife and two little boys, and he enjoys pushing himself both physically and mentally, always striving to become the best-qualified individual to help and serve others around him.
In his spare time, Ryan loves spending time with his wife and kids, riding his bike around town, going on hikes, and having popcorn parties watching movies at home with his family.
