My name is Ryan Petersen and I am a physical therapist and strength coach working in Salt Lake City, UT. I have a bachelor of science in Biology from the University of Utah and a Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Montana. My background is strength/conditioning with team sports and I played football for the University of Utah in 2014. I now work with fitness athletes out of a CrossFit gym (RxFIT Holladay) in the Salt Lake Valley. I am a NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and I have completed ICE-Physio Clinical Management of Fitness Athlete courses. I specialize in working with fitness athletes who are dealing with acute or chronic injuries that are limiting their ability to train and compete. I not only understand the foundational barbell lifts, Olympic lifts, and gymnastic movements, I regularly perform them myself in CrossFit classes and my own training. I also perform contract work with the US Ski and Snowboard team, providing physical therapy coverage for their World Cup and Olympic athletes during training camps and competitions. I work one-on-one with clients, and keep my caseload small so I can provide the highest quality care/attention to my patients, clients, and athletes.
