|Born and raised in Oregon, Ryan attended the University of Oregon where he received his B.S. in Human Physiology. He then received his doctorate in physical therapy (DPT) degree from Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ in 2014.
After moving back to Portland in 2016, he devoted significant time to pursuing education with the Institute of Physical Art, learning about their treatment focus on Functional Manual Therapy®. Ryan completed their certificate program as a Certified Functional Manual Therapist (CFMT) in 2019.
His clinical philosophy focuses on the whole body instead of just focusing on where it hurts and incorporates active movement patterns into his interventions. These are far more effective and give longer lasting benefits than passive manipulations or modalities.
In his free time, Ryan enjoys skiing, mountain biking, hiking with his Corgi pups, and traveling.
