Reed Handlery

Reed Handlery, PT, DPT, PhD received both his Doctorate in Physical Therapy and Philosophy from the University of South Carolina. His research focuses on increasing physical activity levels of people impacted by neurologic disability through adaptive CrossFit®. Dr. Handlery has publications in Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation and Stroke. Clinically, Dr. Handlery has worked in outpatient orthopedics, outpatient neurology and acute care. He uses these diverse experiences to promote physical activity at all stages of rehabilitation. In 2022 he was awarded the Early Career Professional Award from the Academy of Neurologic Physical Therapy. Dr. Handlery is an assistant professor at the Arkansas Colleges of Health Education where he teaches coursework in exercise physiology, motor learning and therapeutic exercise.
