Rebecca Szubert

Becca is a graduate of Midwestern University’s, Doctor of Physical Therapy Class of 2020. Prior to attending Midwestern, she received her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Western Michigan University (2016) in Kalamazoo. Outside of her studies, much of Becca’s time at WMU was spent traveling and competing with their Figure Skating Team all over the country. She’s been heavily involved in multiple disciplines of figure skating since age 2, and continues to coach and skate during her free time.

Her love of sciences and decorated athletic background drove Becca towards a career in physical therapy. She is fascinated by anatomy and human movement, and loves working in a setting where she can learn more about them every day. She has experience treating patients in a range of settings from pediatric inpatient rehabilitation to acute care in the cardiac ICU, but her passion is in treating patients in the orthopedic setting. Becca loves rehabilitating all types of patients from weekend warriors to high performing athletes, and has been known to challenge patients to a “plank party” from time to time. As an exercise lover herself, she believes that movement is the best medicine. Her treatment approach combines this mentality with skilled, hands-on manual therapy such as Trigger Point Dry Needling. She is also a Certified Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist and is passionate about helping guide new mom’s through their “fourth trimester”.

Becca loves traveling, Pilates, outdoor hikes, and spending time at the gym. She also enjoys watching Chicago sports, relaxing with her dogs, family and friends.
