Michael Kaplan

Michael Kaplan, PT, DPT, CMPT completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Central Florida before earning his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Florida Gulf Coast University in 2013. He currently serves as a physical therapist and the clinical director at Ability Rehabilitation’s Winter Park office. With 10 years’ experience as a PT, Michael specializes in helping patients work through various orthopedic conditions through the use of manual therapy and a fitness-forward approach. Specializing in exercise prescription and hope-dealing, Michael most enjoys taking sedentary individuals of all ages and moving them towards a more active lifestyle. He has recently completed a certification in Modern Management of the Older Adult through the Institute of Clinical Excellence, a series of courses designed to re-examine and challenge traditional models of care for older adults.
Michael lives in Winter Park with his wife Julia and three children. Outside of the clinic, Michael enjoys trail running, growing bonsai trees, and coaching his son’s baseball team.
