Dr. Hillaree Leif is a board certified sports physical therapist at Mayo Clinic Sports Medicine in Tempe, AZ with expertise in evaluation and treatment of sport-related injuries. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training at South Dakota State University and a Master’s degree in Advanced Athletic Training while working as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for the North Dakota State Bison Football team. She attended South College in Knoxville, TN for her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She completed a sports physical therapy residency at Mayo Clinic Sports Medicine in Rochester, MN. She is adjunct faculty in the South College Physical Therapy Program and an instructor in physical therapy for the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science. She has provided sideline coverage for various athletic events throughout her career and she enjoys treating athletes of all ages with the goal of returning them safely with optimal performance to the sports they love. In her down time, she loves hanging out with her family, watching sports, and going on hiking and paddleboard adventures with her dog, Kota.
