Andy is the manager of the Physical Therapy Department at the University of Georgia Health Center. He has been practicing physical therapy since 2003 with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of St. Augustine and a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from the University of Georgia. Andy holds advanced certifications in manual therapy, dry needling, blood flow restriction training, and health coaching. He most values patient education in order to help patients understand what is going on and what are the best ways to get them moving forward reaching their goals and ultimately helping them pursue a more active and healthier lifestyle. His areas of interest include movement/functional-based evaluation and assessment; wellness and prevention; the role of pain neuroscience education in treating persistent pain; and the role of nutrition, mental health, cardiovascular health, and sleep/recovery on management of overall wellness and integrative health. Andy enjoys a very active lifestyle including tennis, weight training, running, hiking, and cornhole.
