Dr. Amy Bullock, physical therapist and owner of Fortress Physical Therapy, obtains an educational background in physical therapy and athletic training with emphasis in the functional fitness lifestyle. In 2009, Dr. Bullock received her bachelor’s in athletic training from West Virginia Wesleyan College. After undergraduate school, she received her master’s degree in adapted physical activity at Slippery Rock University and then later attended the University of Findlay where she received her doctor of physical therapy degree in 2013. From 2017-2018, Dr. Bullock furthered her educational pathway through the American Academy Manipulative Therapy Fellowship and obtained her Diploma in Osteopractic® and Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists credential. Dr. Bullock’s special interests within the physical therapy field include analysis/treatments of movement dysfunctions, neck/low back pain, headaches/migraines/TMJ pain and sports/wellness rehabilitation. When Dr. Bullock is not working within the clinic, she also serves as a CrossFit® coach at CrossFit Pineville and a mentor through the AAMT fellowship program to future fellows-in-training. In her spare time she enjoys family, friends, the outdoors, the beach, competing in local CrossFit® competitions, coffee and relaxing while binging on Netflix.
