Originally from New Orleans Louisiana, Alyssa received her undergraduate in kinesiology from the University of Michigan where she also ran track. She received her doctorate in physical therapy from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in 2013. In 2015 she joined the team at Tulane Institute of Sports Medicine located in the heart of Tulane University. She now works at Howard Head Sports Medicine in Breckenridge, CO where she has gained extensive experience working closely with sports medicine surgeons and treating both post-operative and non-operative patients. She has also travelled to Europe as the physio for the US Olympic Snowboard Cross team. She is dual Board Certified in Orthopedics and Sports as recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association and she is a CrossFit Level 1 Instructor. She loves combining her experience as a college athlete and love for Olympic weightlifting and CrossFit with her skills in dry needling, manual therapy, and soft tissue techniques in order to return athletes and active people to the sports and activities they love.
