Alan has been practicing physical therapy since 2017 with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Eastern Michigan University. Alan joined HealthHQ in 2018 and splits his time between coaching CrossFit and physical therapy practice. He began CrossFit in 2018 and fell in love with the methodology (and the results!). Alan has lost over 150 pounds since beginning at CrossFit Fenton and understands the difficulties in making healthy changes in your life. He loves to help patients pursue a more active and healthier lifestyle. Alan holds advanced certifications in dry needling, blood flow restriction training, and treatment of pregnant and post-partum athletes. He has pursued advanced CrossFit specialties in aerobic capacity training and working with adaptive athletes. Besides traditional CrossFit training, Alan enjoys a very active lifestyle including running, hiking, and camping. Alan served in the United States Army Infantry for 8 years including combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan.
