Stepping up: PT as true primary care

In this episode of #PTonICE, Morgan Denny of STAND: The Haiti Project, talks about the role of physical therapists in the realm of direct access and primary care. Morgan encourages listeners to maximize the time PTs have with patients to perform more thorough examinations in order to ensure patients reach the right provider. Morgan shares her experiences practicing in Haiti where the ability to examine vision, hearing, or perform abdominal palpitation (and interpret the results) can help rule in or rule out the need for musculoskeletal care.
