Rocks in the jar: prioritizing treatments as a primary care PT
In today's episode of #PTonICE, Morgan relates rocks in a jar to levels of PT treatment. Large rocks at the base of a jar represent foundations of practice like patient education, primary care issues (wellness, prevention), functional changes, and therapeutic alliance. Medium rocks represent movement restructuring (gait pattern, functional movement patterns) while small rocks represent manual therapy and specific exercises. Pebbles at the very top represent treatments like taping, modalities, and extrinsic cueing.
