Clinical Prevention Practice

After this 8 week course, clinicians will be armed with the necessary tools, data systems, and knowledge to begin a health facing practice in whatever setting they are currently working.

This course is an 8 week dive into primary and secondary prevention in the clinical setting, focusing on providing prevention & health promotion services at the individual level. The backbone of the course is the “Elements Evaluation”- a complete prevention evaluation system developed, tested, and utilized by Pro-Activity.

This system includes a documentation system as well as automatic report generation to maximize potential for implementation immediately during the course.

Throughout the 8 weeks, we will walk step by step through the performance of a comprehensive “Elements Based” Intensive Lifestyle Evaluation, uncovering the HOW behind the selected tests (fingersticks, anyone?) as well as the research to support their use.

We will then dive into current best evidence that informs our assessment and planning for the prevention client to target most relevant risk factors and ultimately increase thriving and performance.
